Loved her note about oven temps, I just KNOW my oven is off by 20° and this is my push to finally get an oven therm. Can't wait to read what other tips and tricks she has :)
I'm looking forward to reading about and trying more adventurous flavor combos and gathering inspiration from that to test out my own recipes. I often shy away from using spices and herbs in my sweet bakes but I want to expand my palate!
I would be most excited about the flavor profiles of this book. The title , “ More than Sweet” immediately conveys that these recipes may be more complex, well thought out, and possibly more diverse in flavor and culture compared to your average sweet delight. That is special !
My favorite food/cookbooks are the ones that allow the reader to step beyond the page, kind of like a mad lib of sorts! Stone fruit is my favorite so I’m very excited to adapt this recipe/ eventually get the book :)
Would love to get some new inspiration for flavor combos! I've been in a bit of a baking dry spell and am excited to see a cookbook with exciting and intriguing desserts!
Very much looking forward to the flavor combinations in this book! And how the unique combinations can update my bakes. It will be so fun to learn how to explore my own recipes further!
I’ve followed Marie for a while, and like you, she’s a master of flavor/ingredient pairing! I’d be excited to be introduced to more unique flavor combos!
I can’t wait to really adapt and take charge of my “flavor”. Branching away from the industry and focusing on myself and my own wants. It’s hard to feel confident and not use the same palate I’ve been taught to use (based on who I worked for ) I love the intro interview questions that were mentioned in the beginning of the article, really fresh and reassuring 🫶🏽
I just made Marie’s tahini ice cream last week and i cant wait to try the base recipe she inclues in the book. Every time she sends out a newsletter, I’m excited to taste the flavor combination. She comes up with. Super excited to try the recipe flavor combinations she offers and also use them to inspire takes of my own. I’ve been a fan for so many years now!! thank you so much for including this in your newsletter this week
Looking forward to being inspired by her creativity!!

My baking style is way more savory than sweet so I’m super excited to get ideas on how to do this in tried and tested ways and with more spices!
