so ready for cookie szn! I recently bought Start Here by Sohla and made her walnut CCC and OMG they were so delicious. She used powdered sugar to create this insanely smooth dough and then added in molasses to get that brown sugar fudgy flavor back in - the resulting cookie was so flavorful with the perfect crispy edges and gooey center I can't stop myself from baking one off every evening
omg i've yet to make the walnut CCC but I love the step of browning the butter with the walnuts to kinda infuse that flavor into the butter! It's a technique I used for the brown butter pecan cookie recipe I have coming out a little later on this month- she's a genius! I'll have to make a batch of the walnut ones for my freezer stash!
That was A LOT of info but it left me thinking. Esp about the flavors/extracts. I’m a little boring and tried and true, but I might have something up my sleeve for this month. I’m new here and I want to make a splash although I’m really more of a drizzle IRL. 😂
Made these once as written and second time with some buckwheat flour, vanilla and toasted walnuts thrown in. Thank you for the great recipe and all the tips!!
Wow! I love how you break down every single thing. I've been taking some lessons, but still everything was by the book, no explaining at all, and now everything makes sense. Saving this post forever!
Thank you for this deeeeep dive queen
I do it for the girls!!
How bout for the boys?😀

lolol trust me IRL im also a bit of a drizzle hehehe
a lot of info yes, but im definitely hoping some of it resonates and helps you to make a splash with the cookies you bake this month (;
Making these today! Would love to know what size in grams you usually make your chocolate chip cookies :) Thank you!
It really depends! When I bake for myself I make big ass 100-120 gram cookies but if I'm sharing I make them smaller anywhere from 30-50 grams!
